1895. Adams, William Porter, 1 155 West Washington Street, Chicago. Grandson of Eliphalet Davis (1 796-1879), Private in “Volunteers” engaged in throwing up breastworks on Dorchester Heights for the defense of Boston, Massachusetts, 1814.

1906. Akin, Henry Charles Robeson, 44 Orchard Lake, Michigan. Great-grandson of Thomas Robeson (1793-1870), in United States service as Drummer and Fifer in Captain Selden Morgan’s Company, Twenty-seventh (Major Commandant Rudolph J. Shoemaker’s) Regiment, New York Militia, October 5-November 18, 1814. At Sackett’s Harbor.

1903. Anderson, Charles Henry, 42 608 Equitable Building, Denver, Col. Great-grandson of James Anderson (1790), enlisted January 21, 1812, for five years in Captain Enos Cutler’s Company, Seventh Regiment, United States Infantry, September 22, 1812; transfered to Captain Moses Sweet’s Company, United States Artillery. In March, 1816, transferred to Captain James T. B. Romayne’s Company, United States Artillery. Honorably discharged January 21, 1817.

1907. Babcock, William Henry, 46 6518 Minerva Avenue, Chicago. Great-grandson of Lodowick Stanton Babcock (1767-1828), in United States service as Captain of Company of Cavalry, New York Volunteers, October 6, 1812-October 15, 1813.

1897. Bascombe, Western Radford, 28 11 West Twenty-fifth Street, New York City. Grandson of Stephen Watts Kearney (1793-1848), First Lieutenant Thirteenth Regiment, United States Infantry (Colonel Peter Philip Schuyler), March 12, 1812; Captain same, April 1, 1813. Taken prisoner at battle of Queenston Heights, October 13, 1812; afterward exchanged, and served as Captain through the war. Subsequently Major General, United States Army.

1905. Brown, James Edgar, 43 138 Washington Street, Chicago. Grandson of Samuel Byrne Brown (1793-1859), in United States service as Private in Captain George J. Davison’s Company, Virginia Militia, January 29-May 27, 1814; at Norfolk, Virginia.

1899. Burnett, Willard Elmer, 35 St. Joseph, Missouri. Grandson of Charles Gale (1793-1869), in United States service as Private in Captain Stephen King’s Company, Lieutenant Colonel Commandant Worthy L. Churchill’s Regiment, New York Volunteers, December 20, 1813-January 5, 18 14. Also in Captain Daniel Buel’s Company, First (Lieutenant Colonel Commandant John Harris’) Regiment, New York Militia, January 26-April 15, 1814.

1894. Cromwell, Charles, 2 200 Adams Street, Chicago. Grandson of Nathan Cromwell ( 1837), Adjutant of Lieutenant Colonel Commandant John Regan’s Regiment; also Adjutant First (Stiner’s) Regiment, Eleventh Brigade, Brigadier General Tobias E. Stansbury, Maryland Militia; July 21-N0vember 9, 1814.

Van Voorhees’ Company, Sixty-first Regiment, New York State Militia, Lieutenant Colonel Commandant Barnabas Carver, September 6-October 5, 1814.

1902. Garnsey, John Henderson, 41 Barber Building, Joliet. Great-grandson of Daniel C. Henderson (1784-1840), Adjutant of Lieutenant Colonel Commandant Christopher P. Bellinger’s Twenty-seventh Regiment, New York Detached Militia, September, October and November. 1S14; at Sackett’s Harbor.

1901. Harrison, Carter Henry, 34 295 Schiller Street, Chicago. Great-grandson of William Russell (1758-1825), Colonel Seventh Infantry, United States Army, May 3, 1808. Honorably discharged June 15, 1815.

1902. Henry, William Louis, 36 542 Jos Campau Avenue, Detroit, Mich. Grandson of Stephen Chambers Henry, M. D. (1786-1834), Private in Captain Richard Smyth’s Company of Major James Witherell’s Detachment of Michigan Volunteer Cavalry. Enlisted April 21, 1812, for twelve months; was detached as Surgeon by order of Brigadier General Hull, and surrendered prisoner of war at Detroit, August 16, 181 2.

Served under command of Captain William Bainbridge, United States Navy, at Charlestown Navy Yard.
