Members of the Skulker's Mess (Civil War re-enactment group) pose for an image in early March 1999 at Fort Massac State Park at Metropolis, Illinois. They were portraying soldiers of the 131st Illinois Infantry who were camped at the site in 1862. The Skulker's Mess includes re-enactors from Illinois, Missouri, Tennessee and Mississippi.
