Organized at Camp Butler, Ill., and mustered in for 100 days May 31, 1864. Moved to Rock Island Barracks, Ill., June 3, and duty there guarding prisoners of war till September, 1864.

Mustered out September 24, 1864.

Regiment lost during service 16 by disease.
